Dr. Linda Isaacs
Linda L. Isaacs, M.D., offers individualized nutritional programs for patients with cancer and other illnesses, as well as for those who want to maintain their health. She and the late Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez worked together for more than twenty years, writing scientific articles about their results.
Overview
The treatment program consists of changing the diet, taking supplements, and performing various detoxification routines. All three of these components are essential.
Diet
The diets are different for different people, ranging from nearly vegetarian to red meat 2-3 times a day. However, all patients must eat organic foods, prepare fresh vegetable juice, and stop eating processed foods, coffee and alcohol.
Supplements
The supplements also differ from patient to patient, depending on their health problems and biochemical makeup. The prescribed supplements include a variety of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and animal glandular concentrates.
Pancreas Product: The recommended pancreas product, made from pig pancreas and containing naturally occurring enzymes, was developed specifically for use in this program.
Overall, cancer patients will take 150-200 capsules a day, including nutrients as well as pancreas product. Non-cancer patients might consume in the range of 80-100 capsules a day, generally with meals, the exact number depending on their health and medical problems.
Detoxification
On this therapy, some patients develop muscle aches and pains or other “flu-like” symptoms, which may be caused by release of waste materials and stored toxins as the body's repair processes work. “Detoxification” refers to procedures such as coffee enemas (definition of enema), which are believed to enhance liver function and in turn, the processing and excretion of metabolic wastes. The coffee enemas are done twice daily, and most patients find they feel better with them.
